A short guide to cork

Cork is a very homogeneous material, consisting almost entirely of cell membranes without channels. Cork is an excellent thermal insulator and can reduce heat loss by 36 percent or lower temperatures by 53 percent.

The material is made up of dead cells. Each cork cell consists of a minimum solid material and a maximum gaseous material, mainly atmospheric air and carbon dioxide. The bark of the cork oak is called suberose parenchyma.

Easy to care for

The only maintenance required for Marinedeck decking is cleaning with a Marinedeck® hand or broom scrubber and two pad types. Using these products, any Marinedeck can be cleaned easily, effortlessly, and quickly.

FSC certificate

Marinedeck cork granules are harvested according to Chain Custody principles and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC).
