Throughout history have sailors shown great appreciation for boat decks built in teak. Thanks to its exceptional qualities is Tectona grandis perfectly suited for yachting: impervious to rot and decay, free of insects and very pleasing to the eye. A well-built teak deck is a durable and aesthetically beautiful choice for all types of boats and climates.
Scandinavian Teak Deck has formed partnerships with a handful of teak vendors. Particular emphasis is placed on the logs being cut in accordance with every rule and regulation, regardless of where in the world the timber has been acquired.
Prefabricated teak decks
Our teak decks are exclusively built from digitized deck drawings at our factory in Finland. The prefabricated build method offers many advantages over the traditional way of laying planks one-by-one directly on top of the yacht. The biggest advantages lie in shorter lead-times and constant high-quality outputs. The prefabrication method also allows us to ship our decks to yachts and shipyards located anywhere in the world.
